Her full name is Datin Seri Dr. Wan Azizah binti Wan Ismael. She took over as leader of the oppositon and founded the PPN-party after the
imprisonment of her husband Anwar Ibrahim. The party's
only MP 2004-08 and 2008 official leader of the 3 opposition parties until she
resigned from parliament to let her husband run in a by-election. In 2014
she was the official candidate for Chief Mininister of the
Selangor State, and had the backing of the majority of itīs members, but the Sultan chose a man from the party allicance.
