1890 Queen-Regent Queen Emma of the Netherlands and Luxembourg (14.11-23.11)

Emma was born Princess zu Waldeck-Pyrmont, and acted as regent for her sick husband, King Willem III the Netherlands and Grand Duke of Luxembourg, and after he died for her only daughter who succeeded to the Throne at the age of 10. Luxembourg passed to another branch of the Nassau-family. She lived (1858-1934).

The Kingdom included Oostindia (Indonesia), Dutch Guyana (Suriname) and The Nederlandse Antillen.  Wilhelmina Helena Pauline Marie, by the Grace of God Queen of the Netherlands was also Princess van Oranje Nassau etc. etc. etc. (see Netherlands Heads). Her mother was regent until she came of age 6.9.1898.  She abdicated in favour of her only surviving child, Juliana. She lived (1880-1964).

The Kingdom consisted of Suriname and the Nederlandse Antillen. Juliana Louise Emma Marie Wilhelmina  is Princess of Oranje-Nassau, Duchess of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, etc. etc. etc. Before she succeeded to the throne she acted as regent during her mothers illness. Abdicated in favour of her oldest daughter, Beatrix. She lived (1909-2004).

Rita Verdonk was Director of State Security of the Internal Security Service, BVD 1996-2003. Considered the favourite to take over as Leader of VVD in 2006, and at the elections a few months later, she got the highest number of personal votes anyone ever got - almost 100.000 more than the party leader, something which also never happened before in Dutch electoral history. When she did not accept the confirmation of the Leader by the parliamentary group, she was excluded from group and later left the party and founded the movement Trots of Nederland ("Proud of the Netherlands").
