The Presidum of the Chamber of Deputies is elected each year in November, the Presidium of the Senate for four years.

Known as Delia Parodi, she was o
ne of the first 22 women to serve in the Argentine Chamber of Deputies from 1951. In 1955 she was imprisoned as part of the coup against Perón, and was freed in 1958, for a time living in exile in Uruguay. (d. 1991)
