The Presidum of the Chamber of Deputies is elected each year in November, the Presidium of the Senate for four years.
1953-54 1. Vice-President of the Camera de Diputados Delia
Delfina Degliuomini de Parodi
Known as Delia Parodi, she was one of the
first 22 women to serve in the Argentine Chamber of Deputies from 1951. In 1955
she was imprisoned as part of the coup against Perón, and was freed in 1958, for
a time living in exile in Uruguay. (d. 1991)

The Vice-President of the Republic is also President of the Senate. She was
President of the Republic 1974-76.
